Masterclass the Scientist is a Manager!
You are Master, PhD or Postdoc in industry who has been working for a couple of years and you are aiming for a managerial position. Our Masterclass will teach you to take charge of your personal development in becoming a manager and take the lead in your own career path.

During the masterclass we have 3 learning objectives for you to work on:

  • Develop yourself and take the lead
  • Your role in a team
  • Manage your team to results (People Management)

After this Masterclass you have gained practical training and leadership skills using a broad range of soft skills and approaches. You will be able to develop yourself with great confidence to a leadership role and work drive a team to results.

The masterclass is an interactive course spread over 3 afternoons in 3 months to make sure you can practice what is taught.

You as a participant:

You are currently employed in industry or Academia with a minimum of two years working experience after your promotion or graduation (Master).

Time investment:

  • 3 x 5 hours training
  • 3 hour take home assignments
  • Peer to Peer discussions

The trainers:

Lisette Spoelder is director and owner of People in Science with over 15 years of experience in recruitment. She’s also a trainer with a broad background as a manager in the field.  Joyce Cornelissen is Consultant for People in Science with a background in recruitment and HR management. She has a managerial background and trained managers in the field.
Veronika Poór is PhD in Chemistry, and experienced in managerial roles outside Academia.
